For the first time in its history, the Albert Clock in Barnstaple Town Square turned pink to promote organ donation week 2025. Donor Mum Lisa Wilson, an Ambassador for Organ Donation, approached Barnstaple Town Council, who instantly agreed to arrange for the clock to be lit up pink every evening this week to promote NHSBT Organ Donation Week 2025.
The message being promoted by NHSBT this week is to sign the organ donor register. Lisa hopes local residents will see the pink clock face and think of signing the register which only takes two minutes and have the all important conversation. ‘After all’, says Lisa, ‘Tom did and gave the most precious gift of all, the gift of life’.
